Midtown Athletic Club servers up 'Tennis in No Time' this May

The world's top tennis players might train for 60 hours a week to get their games in shape, but not everyone can follow this lead. Fortunately, Midtown Athletic Club in Palatine has the world's only patented beginner tennis teaching program for adults that transforms beginners into players in just three short weeks.

The program—called Tennis in No Time (TNT)—has developed more than 100,000 beginners since its inception in 1972.

Midtown Athletic Club in Palatine, 1760 North Hicks Rd., will offer its three-week session of TNT beginning May 5. Each session is comprised of six 90-minute lessons (two per week) where participants learn the basics of tennis including the serve, forehand, backhand and net play for singles and doubles.

Cost is just $115 and club membership is NOT required. Cost includes full Midtown Athletic Club member privileges, including use of all health and fitness facilities and equipment, Cardio Tennis party, Tennis mixer and complementary ball machine practice with pro supervision.

Making the program so unique are the four different types of balls used as the players progress in their skills: Red (25% compression), Orange (50%) Green Dot (75%) and regulation yellow.

“Tennis in No Time is the best way for a beginner to learn to play tennis,” explains Chuck Barnard, General Manager of Midtown Athletic Club. “What surprises all students is just how quickly they're able to learn the game. Beginners become players in just three short weeks.”
