Arlington Heights train death ruled suicide
The office of the Cook County medical examiner has ruled the death of a pedestrian who was hit by an express Metra train in Arlington Heights on Friday a suicide.
A report from the medical examiner's office Saturday said the 36-year-old man died of multiple injuries when he was struck by the outbound train about 5:15 p.m. The train from Ogilvie Transportation Center had stopped at the Clybourn station and was en route to Barrington when the incident occured. It was not scheduled to stop in Arlington Heights.
