Help on Naperville paper drive
I am a senior at Naperville Central High School. My friend, Sheila Shenoy and I have been volunteers at a nonprofit organization called Humanitarian Service Project over the past year. Recently, they have stressed the need for more paper goods such as toilet paper, tissues and paper towel rolls for low-income senior citizens in DuPage County and Kane County.
Humanitarian Service Project is an efficient and reputable nonprofit organization. We have seen this organization in action, helping provide not only necessities like food and school supplies to the community, but joy and comfort for people who are less fortunate. Their mission and goal to alleviate poverty in the Naperville area is something we believe in, and that is why we have made it our goal to help them help others by starting a paper product drive in our community.
Our drive runs through March 23, in hopes of reaching our goal of giving 2,012 paper goods that will supply over 200 needy seniors. While we know this is an ambitious goal, we are asking all of Naperville to get involved through setting up drop-off boxes at our school, local schools, banks and restaurants throughout Naperville. We currently have drop-off boxes at the Naper Boulevard Library, Naperville Municipal Center, Naperville Central High School and Anderson’s Bookshop.
