Danada Equestrian is a true gem

Danada Equestrian is a true gem

I’m in support of all of the staff and volunteers at Danada Equestrian Center. I was fortunate to be a horse care volunteer from the age of 14 to 18, and then was employed there as a camp counselor. Danada is my top standard for any other workplace or any other riding facility.

I started attending Danada’s summer camps when I was 10, and loved it. As soon as I could, I applied to be a volunteer. Volunteering provided me with countless opportunities to learn not only great horsemanship from kind teachers, but also invaluable lessons on responsibility and teamwork.

Danada is a haven for horse-crazy teenagers. Of course, being a teenage girl, I sometimes thought I knew more than the professionals. Looking back, I appreciate the respect they showed me when I voiced any concerns. My questions were always answered truthfully and directly, and I would learn another important lesson on horsemanship or stable management.

I spent six summers as a staff member, teaching children not only about riding, but also about respecting nature. I have since worked at different educational facilities, thanks to the great foundation I received at Danada. Nowhere else were lesson horses treated nearly as wonderfully as by the Danada staff.

Recently I’ve seen enormous improvements in the equestrian program, from remodeled volunteer breakrooms to more community involvement. The camps are full, even with extra sessions added. The horses are receiving top-notch care, with more barn visits from chiropractors, hoof specialists and saddle fitters than ever.

I believe the Danada staff to be the most sincere, and truly caring people I have ever had the pleasure to work with. I am fortunate that I was able to grow up in such a wonderful environment, and I believe this facility is a true gem.
