Emmett's big fun

There's big fun to be had by adults who probably know better at Emmett's Ale House's annual big wheels race. Spin your hollow plastic wheels at noon Saturday, March 17, to kick off the day's events. Emmett's drink specials include Irish Stout and Mccarthy's Irish Red pints for $5.25, as well as $5.50 pints from the Firkin Tapping, a cask-conditioned beer.

Wickets Bar and Grill is a winner this St. Paddy's Day with specials beginning at 11 a.m. that include $6 Guinness drafts and green martinis and $4 Smithwicks Red Irish Ale bottles. Grab a corned beef sandwich for $6 or a corned beef and cabbage dinner for $10.

There's good fortune for everyone at Glenview House on St. Patrick's Day. A Lucky “3” drink menu includes $3 Guinness pints, $3 Harp pints and $3 Jameson shots. The Irish dinner menu includes Irish bangers and mashed potatoes and caramelized onions in a Smithwick's gravy for $11.
