Lake Home and Cabin Show to be held in Schaumburg
The Lake Home & Cabin Show continues today and Sunday at the Schaumburg Convention Center, 1551 Thoreau Drive, Schaumburg.
The show features more than 150 exhibitors from across the country to showcase everything related to the lake home and cabin lifestyle, including the latest trends in interior design, decor, furniture, architecture, building, remodeling and landscaping. It will include demonstrations, hourly seminars free interactive exhibits including:
Ÿ Appearances Saturday by Emmy-nominated actor and environmentalist Ed Begley Jr., who is helping educate homeowners on how to live a greener lifestyle on behalf of Sancor Industries.
Ÿ Meet cabin country’s most common “cabin critters” at a display and presentations by Rob Mies, nationally-known animal and bat expert and television personality.
Ÿ Cooking demonstrations by chef Patrick Moore, “the Getaway Gourmet,” who will tempt taste buds with great cabin recipes.
The show is a one-stop resource for anyone decorating, remodeling, building or buying a second home. Exhibits include furnishings, furniture and decor, real estate, builders, remodelers, architects, finance, recreational products, landscaping and lakeshore products and services, unique accessories and a host of other items specific to the second-home lifestyle.
Admission is $12 for adults, $5 for ages 5 to 15 and free for those younger than 5; $2 coupons available at lakehomeandcabinshow.com.
