Reward offered in Rolling Meadows bank robbery
A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered to anyone having any information which leads to the identification of the individuals believed responsible for the armed robbery of the TCF Bank branch at 1415 Algonquin Road in Rolling Meadows on Feb. 10, the FBI said Wednesday.
According to witnesses, the two robbers entered the bank armed with handguns at approximately 12:35 p.m. One of the robbers struck a bank employee several times, while the other robber vaulted the teller counter and took cash from several tellers.
The robber who assaulted the bank employee is described as a Hispanic man in his 20s, 5-foot-10 to 6-foot tall, and of medium build. He wore a black “puffy” jacket, blue jeans, and wore a black bandanna over his face. The robber also used a small black backpack with a drawstring, the FBI said in a news release.
The second robber is described as a Hispanic/male, unknown age, 5-foot-2 to 5-foot-6, thin build, black cap, black jacket, gray pants, and wore a black “paintball mask” over his face, the FBI said.
