St. Pat’s Day game highlights Express homestand

With four homes games starting tonight and concluding Sunday, the Chicago Express has a big week of ECHL hockey in store for local fans, highlighted by a St. Patrick’s Day game featuring commemorative jerseys.

The Express hosts the Wheeling Nailers at 7 p.m. today at the Sears Centre Arena. On Friday, the Toledo Walleye visit the Sears Centre Arena for a 7:30 p.m. start.

On Saturday, the St. Patrick’s Day contest features the Trenton Titans with corned beef sandwiches and green beer on hand as the Express wear special St. Patrick’s Day jerseys, which will be auctioned off following the 7:30 p.m. game to benefit the American Brain Tumor Association.

The Express wrap up the final game of their four-game week with a 4 p.m. contest Sunday against the Trenton Titans.

Sunday is Star Wars Night at the Sears Centre Arena, and Star Wars characters will be at the game. Fans can get pictures and autographs with the characters throughout the contest. Following Sunday’s game, fans are invited for a free skate with the team on the ice. Limited skate rental is available, so fans are encouraged to bring their own.
