Donahue will bring change to county

I have been a resident of Libertyville for over 60 years and an active member of many community, public and civic organizations. And my experience tells me we need to make changes in our county government that affect us each day. I would like to ask you to join me in supporting Dan Donahue as our next District 15 Lake County Board Commissioner.

I have had the pleasure of serving and working with Dan on several committees and on the Libertyville Planning and Zoning Commission, Dan brings great wisdom, experience and a commitment to the residents. For the past 25 years our current county board member has become complacent and sided with the majority without regard to what is best for the residents of District 15. We need a representative like Dan Donahue who will make important decisions based on what is best for us, the tax payers of District 15.

Dan‘s approach will be to ask for our opinion on important issues. After deciding to run for the county board, Dan walked and talked to the residents of District 15 while gathering signatures for his petition. His conversations were frank and honest and the majority of responses he received were it is time to elect a new District 15 commissioner. Our current representative didn’t seek our input, hasn’t kept us informed on important issues, and cares more about being a part of the majority. Business as usual and the same lack of concern we have experienced for the past 25 years.

Please join me on March 20 and vote for Dan Donahue for District 15 Lake County Board commissioner. We deserve a commissioner who will consider our best interest, not those of fellow board commissioners.
