Former Wis. teachers plead not guilty in drug case

ANTIGO, Wis. — Three men, including two former teachers in northern Wisconsin, are pleading not guilty to marijuana charges.

Chris Nicholson, Joseph Adams and Anthony Crabb are among nearly a dozen people accused in a marijuana distribution ring investigation. It has centered primarily around educators and their friends in the Antigo and Merrill areas.

The three face one misdemeanor count each of marijuana possession.

Antigo elementary school principal John Lund resigned last month. He’s charged with possessing and delivering marijuana and maintaining a drug house.

Adams also resigned as a special education teacher from the Antigo school district. Crabb is a retired Merrill teacher.

Wausau Daily Herald reports (http://wdhne.ws/zEOpgT ) all three men were released on $1,000 signature bonds. Their next court appearances are next month.
