Elk Grove Historical Museum opens Girl Scout exhibit

Celebrate the last 100 years of Girl Scouts of the USA with the Elk Grove Historical Museum's newest exhibit, “Scouting About.”

The exhibit, which opened on Friday, March 9, features historic uniforms, photographs and badges. Information and memorabilia from local troops will also be on display. This exhibit features interactive components such as video, audio, opportunities to try on vintage uniforms, and a cellphone tour!

The “Scouting About” exhibit will be on display through August. Drop-in hours during the months of March through May are: 2:30-6:30 p.m. Wednesday and Friday; 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday; or by appointment. During the months of June through August, hours are: Noon-5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday; 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday; or by appointment. Admission to the exhibit is free.
