Hoffman's inaugural Celtic Fest looking for vendors, volunteers

The village of Hoffman Estates is pleased to announce the inaugural Hoffman Estates Celtic Fest at the Sears Centre Arena from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, April 28.

Complete with Irish dancers, pipe bands, a soccer tournament, a golf clinic and live music, the event will celebrate all things Celtic.

The word “Celtic” is often used to describe people of the Celtic nations (Brittany, Cornwall, Ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales), as well as their respective cultures and languages. During Celtic Fest, the village invites our guests to enjoy a full day of games, music and laughter.

“This will be a fantastic opportunity to celebrate Celtic traditions with the whole family,” said Beth Raffety, chair of the newly formed Celtic Fest Commission. “It will also be a wonderful way to learn about and engage in Celtic activities.”

As part of the festival, the Commission is hoping to bring in some of the best Celtic vendors in the region. Vendor applications are still being accepted! More information and downloadable applications are available at www.hoffmanestates.org/celtic, or by calling Sue Lessen at (847) 781-2606.

With a wide array of events, there are also many opportunities to volunteer. Volunteers from community organizations can also apply for booth space to feature their organization. Contact Sue Lessen for more information at (847) 781-2606.

The Sears Centre Arena is located at 5333 Prairie Stone Parkway in the “Poplar Creek at 59/90” Entertainment District in western Hoffman Estates.
