Job One: Stop Obamacare

For me, the biggest election issue this year is not jobs but the repeal of Obamacare. If we Americans allow our government to take over one-sixth of the economy, we are following the model of European socialism, and we have given up on American exceptionalism.

This presidential election is about the soul of America and what kind of country we will be — one of limited government, which our Founding Fathers imagined, or an ever-expanding government that grows in power by making its citizens more dependent upon it. Government grows only at the expense of individual liberty.

I can only hope that my fellow Americans in the swing states that decide this presidential election recognize the dangers inherent in expanding the scope and power of the federal government. Obamacare must be ended in order to preserve American freedom. If it’s not, our nation has been fundamentally transformed.
