Good Shepherd offers high-school internships

Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital near Lake Barrington this summer will offer the prestigious Future Healthcare Professionals Program to high school juniors interested in health-related but non-physician careers.

The program will meet for three weeks, June 11 through June 29, Monday through Friday for eight hours a day. No vacation or personal days are permitted.

Eight students are selected for the program by interview, teacher/counselor recommendation, written essay, past experiences and grade-point average. Applications are available through local high school guidance counselors or can be downloaded at Good Shepherd’s website, advocatehealth.com/gshp/FHSCP. The deadline to apply is March 31.
