Des Plaines hosts senior police academy

The Des Plaines Police Department and the Frisbie Senior Center will be hosting the 2012 Senior Citizen Police Academy from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesdays starting March 14 through May 30 at the senior center, 52 Northwest Highway.

The academy will include presentations by the department’s detective bureau, evidence technicians, tactical response team, and negotiators. The majority of classes will be held at the Frisbie Senior Center, except for the sessions at the police shooting range.
