Wrong way to clean up Keith Andres Park
CAmBr, a Chicago-based mountain bike group, has asked the Carpentersville village board for permission to establish a series of trails in Keith Andres Park. Many of these trails are near the backyards of residents’ homes. The area was not surveyed in person, only on a computer using a satellite view of the area and GPS.
It doesn’t seem possible that permission would be granted to CAMBr when so little preparation went into the one and only presentation to the village board on June 19.
Palatine and Barrington have refused them the use of their land and Raceway Woods is letting them in on a trial basis.
Yes, Keith Andres Park needs to be cleaned up, but is this the right way?
