Readers cheer on Fittest Losers with suggestions

Ten tips for the Fittest Losers:Ÿ If you#146;re hungry, do not watch the Food channel!

Ÿ Do not eat any processed food. #147;If man makes it, don#146;t eat it.#148; (Jack LaLanne)

Ÿ Take time to plan and prepare what you#146;re going to eat, write it in your journal and stick to the plan.

Ÿ Be honest in your food journal. Who are you trying to kid? You only hurt yourself.

Ÿ Eat more and lose weight. This was mind-boggling for me, but it worked. Five meals a day. Each meal should include a protein, carbs and a fat.

Ÿ Stop eating two hours before going to bed.

Ÿ Get out of the kitchen. Sometimes the hardest thing to do is push yourself away from the table.

Ÿ Drink lots of water. When you#146;re done eating and still feel like you want to eat potato chips or a cookie, drink 8 to 10 ounces of water and find something to take your mind off food.

Ÿ Enjoy your workouts. They#146;re going to be tough, but you will feel so much better when you#146;re done.

Ÿ If you#146;re going to a party, eat before you go so you don#146;t eat the wrong foods. Bring healthy snacks and munch on them. Nuts, cut-up apple, snap peas, even bite-size pieces of chicken are a few things that are easy to carry.

It#146;s time to take care of you. Listen to your trainers.
