Saturday, March 10th, Help Set the Vision of Emmons District 33

Dr. Machak and The Emmons Board of Education are looking for parent volunteers to participate in a District Vision and Long-Range Planning Workshop on Saturday, March 10th, in the Vandrush Library at Emmons School. The goal of this day-long planning session, which will be facilitated by the Illinois Association of School Boards, is to gather input from all constituencies of our school community that will lead directly to a shared District vision (the District mission statement appears at the top of every issue of The Raider Times) and a 3-5 year long-range strategic plan for all of the District's various goal areas. The work we will undertake is important and requires a substantial commitment on the part of all participants: we will work the entire day, from 8:00am-3:00pm on March 10th. A light breakfast and boxed lunch will be served. We are looking for 25-30 people who care about Emmons to join us, and want to hear the voices of the following groups as we move forward: Board of Education, Teachers and Staff, Parents, Students, Administration, and District residents who may not have children at Emmons at this time. Please contact Dr. Machak at (847) 395-1105, x213, if you or someone you know might be interested in participating. Thank you for your continued support of Emmons School!
