Parmer is St. Mary’s Knight of the Month

At the November meeting of the St. Mary of Huntley Knights of Columbus Council 11666, the trustees selected Sir Knight Dave Parmer as Knight of the Month recognizing his efforts coordinating the fundraising operation at the Old St. Mary’s Church parking lot during the annual festival held in Huntley the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day.

Parking close to the site of this activity was at a premium and Dave coordinated efforts of the Knights of Columbus to provide parking for those coming to the village for this activity. The funds raised are used to support the many local charitable activities sponsored by the St. Mary of Huntley Knights of Columbus Council 11666.

The Knights of Columbus is an international Catholic family fraternal service organization with nearly 1.7 million members in over 13,000 local councils. Last year, Knights donated 68 million volunteer hours and $158 million in charitable and benevolent causes, sponsoring projects to benefit their church, councils, communities, families and youth.
