Nominations sought for volunteer award

Judson University is now seeking nominations for the D. Ray Wilson Volunteer Service Award, which is presented annually to the candidate who has contributed to the greater good within the Fox Valley community by voluntarily serving the physical, emotional, intellectual or spiritual needs of others.

The D. Ray Wilson Volunteer Service Award will be given during Judson University’s Community Prayer Breakfast to be held from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, in the Lindner Fitness Center, 1151 N. State St., Elgin.

Last year’s recipient, Mary Rees Freeman, was honored for her extensive volunteer service to organizations such as Altrusa International Club of Elgin, the Village of South Elgin Parks and Recreation, the YWCA in Elgin, and the League of Women Voters.

Nominations can be submitted through an online form at www.judsonu.edu/prayerbreakfast/nominations/ by April 9. Questions about this event can be emailed to events@judsonu.edu.

All nominators and nominees are invited to attend the breakfast. Tickets for the event will be $18. Online registration will be available through Judson University’s website at www.judsonu.edu beginning March 28.
