Neoclassical ensemble in concert Saturday at Elgin’s Side Street studio

Submitted by Side Street Studio Arts

At 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, share an evening with TwiceOne and see how your inner artist connects you to the arts and music at Side Street Studio Arts, 15 Ziegler Court in downtown Elgin. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

This is an evening to relax and enjoy beautiful music for trumpet, piano and cello. It is open to the public with a $10 suggested donation at the door.

Featured artists include Steve and Vicki Sowinski. Steve has performed extensively throughout Chicago as a trumpet soloist. Although the majority of his work is as a church musician, he and his wife perform and record full-time with their neoclassical ensemble TwiceOne. Steve has formed Shared Artistry as a way to promote the arts and music in communities, as well as master classes to help other musicians use their inner artist to help others. Vicki is an accomplished pianist, a church organist and an accompanist for several groups. A graduate in piano from Indiana University, Vicki enjoys performing, as well as spending time with her family.

Side Street Studio Arts was founded in 2013 by Tanner Melvin and Erin Rehberg as an outlet for the artists of Elgin, and is currently under the direction of Amanda Harris, Melvin, and Rehberg. Its mission is to provide an accessible space encouraging all aspects of the artistic process from creation to curation.
