Men’s chorus to debut musical comedy

Submitted by Fox River Men of Harmony

The Fox River Men of Harmony chorus will debut an original musical comedy, “Seniors Day at the DMV,” at their 67th annual Spring Show at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 11, at First United Methodist Church, 216 E. Highland Ave. in Elgin. Everyone at this DMV seems to need a break on a test.

Featured guest quartet is Roxy, the 2012 International Sweet Adelines 11th-place quartet. Local quartets Clef Hangers, Golden Chords and Mood Makers will perform, as well as Illinois District 2011 Senior Quartet Champs, Gadzooks.

Doug Smith, Fox River Men of Harmony musical director and multiple District Quartet Champion, will lead the chorus through this musical comedy maze.

For show tickets, contact Jack at (815) 459-6910 or email to barbershop_tickets@joltmail.com. Tickets are $18, $8 for students, and free for children younger than age 5.

Parking is free across the street from the church.
