They hold weekly chorus rehearsals at 7:15 p.m. Mondays at the church. The chorus sings barbershop harmony, which permits men of all ages to combine their voices in four-part, a cappella, close-harmony singing. The leads carry the melody, while the tenors harmonize above the melody, the basses sing the lowest notes and the baritones complete the chords.
The Barbershop Harmony Society, with 31,000 members in the United States and Canada, is the world’s largest all-male singing society.
