Judson’s GreenRoom Productions auditioning for improv ensemble

For only the second time in 12 years, GreenRoom Productions is having open auditions for the improv ensemble.

Auditions for those 16 and older will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, at Judson University’s Fine Arts Building, 1151 N. State St., Elgin.

No preparation or appointment is needed. Just show up before 7 p.m. to sign in. Bring a headshot and resume. They will be interviewing everyone, followed by the improv performances.

Being sought are talented Christians who are interested in joining the core improv ensemble long-term. If you are selected, there is a three-month internship that goes through December. After the internship, they will decide whether or not to offer you a contract to be part of the ensemble.

Ÿ On Monday, Oct. 1, GreenRoom Productions will hold auditions for “The Christmas Carol” from 6 to 9 p.m. at Judson University Fine Arts Building, 1151 N. State St., Elgin.

They will be auditioning for all roles; you must be age 7 or older to audition. Callbacks will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 2.

Email Brooke, the production manager, at bkras@willowcreek.org to schedule your audition time slot. Put “Christmas Carol Audition” in the subject line. Prepare a 32 bar/one-minute song in your key. CD tracks only. Bring headshot and resume.

The first rehearsal will be held Saturday, Oct. 6. Rehearsals will be held Saturdays from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sundays from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., and occasional Wednesday nights. The show dates will be Dec. 8-9, 14-16 at the Huntley Performing Arts Center.
