Enjoy ‘An Almost Winter Day’ festival in South Elgin

The South Elgin Parks and Recreation Department will offer its holiday festival, “An Almost Winter Day” from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, in SEBA Park, on Spring and Water streets in South Elgin.

Activities for all ages are planned and include: petting zoo (minimal charge for feed); horse-drawn sleigh rides; cookie decorating (while supplies last); children’s activity area; S’more making; and a bonfire.

For a $2 fee, write a “Letter to Santa” or take a pony ride. Other area may require a small fee or minimal donation.

Santa arrives at 4:30 p.m. to sing carols with the children before heading over to the Footprints in Time Plaza for the annual tree lighting at 5 p.m.
