Submitted by Side Street Studio Arts
“Going Dutch,” a celebration of female voice in dance, media, theater and visual arts, will be presented by Chicago’s own Core Project.
Core Project is a dance-based interdisciplinary arts company, pushing the boundaries of storytelling. Its mission is to offer art performances and education for the community and by “Going Dutch” they will deliver.
The third annual “Going Dutch” will be showcased in the Chicago Art & Design Center and Links Hall from June 12-15.
Even though it is set for four days in Chicago, there will be a special First Friday sneak peek from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, June 7, at Side Street Studio Arts, 15 Ziegler Court in Elgin. Water Street Studios, 160 S. Water St. in Batavia, also will preview this showcase from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 8.
There is no admission fee for this event, but a suggested donation of $10 will go directly to the artists. If planning on going to the Chicago event, tickets can be purchased online at www.sidestreetstudioarts.org/#!core-projects-going-dutch/c11li.
