Arlington Heights museum serves up Irish tea
Henry James said, “There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea.”
Join the Arlington Heights Historical Museum for an afternoon Irish Tea from 1-2:30 p.m. Saturday, March 10. Pots of hot Irish tea will be served with sweets and savory treats. The museum is at 110 W. Fremont St., Arlington Heights.
Entertainment will be provided by the handbell duo Clog Cailini, which is Gaelic for “bell girls.” They will perform a combination of Irish and traditional tunes. Kris Ward performs handbells, accompanied by Carol Frieburg on piano.
The Irish Tea is for adults and children ages 6 and older. Cost is $19 per person. Register each participant individually at ahpd.org, program #1125-6, or go to any Arlington Heights Park District registration office to sign up in person.
