Algonquin church to host chocolate fest

The Congregational Church of Algonquin, 109 Washington St., has produced its first “Heavenly Chocolate Cookbook.” The cookbooks will be available at the Heavenly Chocolate Fest from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 23. The cookbook is available for $10.

This one-day event features many local and national vendors with all emphases on chocolate. There will be live cooking demonstrations featuring chocolate and its many uses. The vendors will include: K.R. Strawbottoms, The Cocoa Cabana, The Pampered Chef, Aztec Gold Gourmet Chocolates, Wicked Chocolate, Anderson’s Candy Shop, The Flour Shoppe, Mamie’s Toffee and Treats, Synful Sweets Bakery, Fudge Eddie’s, Tastefully Simple and more to come.

These treats are made for you just in time to fill your Easter basket. Admission to the Chocolate Fest is free.
