Four injured in St. Charles crash

Four people were injured, including a young child, in a two-vehicle crash in St. Charles Sunday night, police said.

At about 8 p.m. a man driving a vehicle with the child inside attempted to turn left from southbound Randall Road onto Prairie Street and was struck by a vehicle heading north, police said.

The driver of the southbound vehicle turned left in front of the other vehicle causing the crash, police said.

The male driver and female passenger in the northbound vehicle were both injured in the crash, said St. Charles Police Sgt. Brad Griffin.

The male driver and young child in the southbound vehicle were also injured.

All four were taken to Delnor Hospital in Geneva, police said. The roadway was shut down for about 20 minutes while emergency crews attended to the wreck.
