Letter writer wrong about Catholics

In response to Joan Conneely’s Feb. 16 letter, “Catholics face tough choice,” her reference to Catholics becoming “cafeteria Catholics” is nothing new as this has been an ongoing situation within the church.

In addition, her comment about the bishops not representing anyone is completely off the mark. The bishops through their apostolic succession represent Jesus Christ in the modern world. To deny this indicates a lack of knowledge.
