Retiring police sergeant honored in Buffalo Grove
Buffalo Grove police Thursday honored Bob Heer on his retirement after 33 years of service with a surprise farewell, including a motorcade accompanying him out of the village on his last day of service.
Heer, 55, isn’t exactly disappearing into the sunset. He’s in his fifth term as a trustee on the Wheeling Village Board. And he’s been active with St. Joseph the Worker Church in Wheeling, the Wheeling High School Booster Club, and the Knights of Columbus Regina Council.
