Labrador retrievers remain a breed apart

The American Kennel Club announced this week that the Labrador retriever has retained its “Top Dog” status as America’s No. 1 registered breed for the 21st consecutive year. Following Labs in popularity among AKC-registered breeds are German shepherds, beagles and golden retrievers.
