Restoring justice topic of forum:

A public forum, “Restoring Justice in Lake County” is set for 1 p.m. Saturday, March 3 at the Lake Villa Township office, 37850 N. Route 59. The six candidates running for Lake County State’s Attorney will be asked to sign a pledge that he or she will enforce victims’ rights, uphold the Constitution, and adhere by the prosecutor’s duty to seek justice, not merely to obtain convictions. The forum, hosted by Mothers On a Mission to Stop Violence, will begin with a brief presentation on victims’ rights and signing of the pledge.
