Michael Jordan's Highland Park mansion on the market for $29 million

You can buy a lot of things for $29 million, including Michael Jordan's Highland Park mansion — complete with his signature jersey number 23 emblazoned on the front gate.

Baird & Warner has listed the former Chicago Bulls star's longtime home at 2700 Point Drive.

In a news release, Baird and Warner officials said the secluded compound offers more than 56,000 square feet of livable space on three levels, including nine bedrooms, 15 full baths and four half-baths, and five fireplaces.

It was designed to Jordan's exact specifications. The property will afford its owner the ultimate in privacy, security and amenities, the news release adds.

In addition to the main residence, the estate features an attached three-bedroom guesthouse, an indoor/outdoor entertaining and pool area, an outdoor tennis court, a putting green, a deep-water pond, and three separate climate-controlled multicar garages.

The residence, constructed between 1993 and 1995 and extensively renovated in 2009, also features an attached indoor basketball complex that was completed in 2001.

The recreational facility, which has a separate entry and nearby parking area, features a full-size regulation basketball court with specially cushioned hardwood flooring, adjustable backstops and baskets, and competition-quality high-intensity lighting.

The court also has a one-of-a-kind sound system.

The main house includes 32,683 square feet of space on two levels, while the estate encompasses 7 acres.

The front gate of the estate is also adorned with the number 23, referencing Jordan's Bulls jersey number.

The estate is just off Half Day Road, a short distance west of Skokie Valley Road.

The listing has an estimated property tax bill of more that $165,000 annually.

Jordan was inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame in 2009 after spending 15 seasons as a player, and he led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA Championship titles. In 2010, Jordan became the majority owner of the Charlotte Bobcats, the first former player to become the majority owner of an NBA franchise.
