Police shoot Westmont man outside his home

Westmont police shot a 53-year-old resident in the leg early Sunday morning after he reportedly pointed what appeared to be a rifle at officers. Illinois State Police and the DuPage County State's Attorney are investigating. No charges have been filed against the 53-year-old man at this time. Full story.

Man fleeing from police hit by car on I-290

A 33-year-old Chicago man was hospitalized in stable condition after being struck by a car while attempting to flee police by running across multiple lanes of Interstate 290, according to Illinois State Police. Police said the man tried to run during a traffic stop after an officer discovered he was wanted on three outstanding warrants. Full story.
