Each week’s DuPage County Neighbor section includes at least one entry in our Photo Finish photography contest. Our photography staff picks some of their favorite submissions to run each week and one overall monthly winner.
If you would like to submit a photo for consideration, email it in .jpg format with at least 300 dpi resolution to ssanders@dailyherald.com. Include your name, address and a phone number, plus a description of where you took the photo and the occasion for it.
The monthly winner will receive a $50 gift certificate, good at PJ’s Camera, Pickwick Place Plaza, 662 Roosevelt Road, Glen Ellyn.
Larry Pearlman of Naperville says he captured this image of a pizzeria store owner in Amsterdam.
John Maystadt of Roselle says he was in Zion National Park when he took this photograph in 2009. It was one of those perfect moments, with no traffic, pleasant temperatures and beautiful scenery, he says.
