Pedestrians struck by car in Des Plaines

Two pedestrians were hit by a car Monday morning as they crossed a private driveway in Des Plaines, authorities said.

The car was making a left turn into the driveway on the 1300 block of Touhy Avenue when it struck the two people about 8:15 a.m., according to Des Plaines police.

The pedestrians were transported to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge with what police described as minor injuries.

There was no information immediately available about possible citations.
