Thanks for support of library fund-raiser

The Lake Villa District Library Foundation would like to thank everyone who made “A Night At The Library” on Feb. 9 a success.

Over 400 people attended the event. Bidding on our silent auction was fierce, and money raised will go toward the purchase of Nook e-readers for the library.

Everyone enjoyed wine and beer tastings from Antioch Fine Wine & Liquors and food from the Twisted Cow and Grande Jakes as well as from chefs Ying Stoller and Carol Mackey.

The Dixie Dudes rocked the house. The crowd was very complimentary. Many people said that not only did they have a great time, but that it was a unique and pleasurable event.

Library staff, volunteers, Foundation members, and Friends of LVDL worked hard to make the event festive and fun.

Thanks to all for attending, and look for more special events in the future.
