Sheyman has energy, common sense

Finally! Someone to vote for, in the March 20, Democratic Primary, instead of picking the least objectionable.

I’m voting for Ilya Sheyman because of his dedication and common sense.

I’m voting for Ilya Sheyman because he recognizes that cutting public sector workers such as teachers, police and firefighters to save money will cost us more in the long run from overcrowded, underfunded schools, overworked emergency responders and reduction of needed services.

I’m voting for Ilya Sheyman because he recognizes that any one of us may need a helping hand sometime, particularly in times of economic crisis. At its most fundamental level, that is what government should be about.

I’m voting for Ilya Sheyman, because even before I heard any other candidate’s name, he was on our doorstep in our modest, middle-class neighborhood, introducing himself and listening to what we had to say.

His campaign estimates that Ilya has already met with 1,500 fellow citizens at coffees around the 10th district.

Ya gotta love that energy and organization. We need him in Congress helping to turn our government back to what it should be — an organization for the people, all the people, of citizens working together for everyone’s greater good.
