Parents invited to Montessori Academy Science Expo, open house
Submitted by Montessori Academy
Montessori Academy will host an informational session for parents interested in learning about the school from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, March 4, followed by the annual open house and Science Expo, which will run from 1 to 3 p.m.
This event is an opportunity for prospective parents to learn about Montessori education, as well as see firsthand how Montessori works in the classroom. The upper level students will also be demonstrating their science projects.
“This is an exciting event for us because we can welcome new families into our community while giving our older students an opportunity to showcase their skills and knowledge through their annual science projects,” said George Markham, executive director at Montessori Academy. “Our younger students are also excited because they get to show everyone how they spend their day at Montessori.”
Montessori Academy is an independent, nonprofit school that provides education for ages three through eighth grade. Founded in 1971, Montessori Academy utilizes the child-centered, individualized approach developed by Dr. Maria Montessori.
The open house and Science Expo will take place at Montessori Academy, 595 S. River St., Batavia on Route 25, a half-mile south of Wilson Street. For more information, call (630) 879-2586, email info@montessoribatavia.com or visit montessoribatavia.com.
