Stevens Point Wisc. man validates $1M lottery ticket

MADISON, Wis. — Wisconsin’s latest million-dollar lottery winner has claimed his prize.

Kurt Glenzer of Stevens Point validated his $1 million Mega Millions ticket Thursday. Lottery officials say he took the cash as a lump sum, which amounts to $672,500 after taxes.

Glenzer’s ticket matched all five regular winning numbers in last week’s drawing. The prize was $250,000, but since he bought the multiplier feature, the prize was multiplied by four.

He was the state’s second million-dollar winner in less than a week. Six days earlier a West Allis woman won a $1 million Powerball prize. She also took the lump sum of $672,500.
