Batavia restaurant hosts welcome for returning military

Batavia Cares and The RendezVous Restaurant will host a welcome home party for all returning military. Come and thank those who have been deployed, especially Spc. Steven Shewalter Jr., at 8 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the restaurant, 1 E. Wilson St. in Batavia.

Anyone who has returned from deployment will be the guests of honor and are invited to attend this special tribute. Returning military who are planning on attending should notify Batavia Cares of their plans to attend by calling (630) 687-1943. Anyone who would like to volunteer to decorate and plan the event should call Jerry Dunn at the RendezVous (630) 406-9177. These young men and women have voluntarily gone into harm’s way for our freedom. Lt us personally thank them for their service.
