President’s energy policies misguided
Well, it looks like the president is keeping his campaign promise of raising fuel costs — fossil fuels, that is — as fuel prices will be nearing all-time highs. It’s bad enough that he has lost almost a billion dollars with guaranteed loans to “green” companies (campaign donors) that have gone bankrupt, and now his campaign promise of higher fuel costs are finally coming to fruition. The last few weeks he talked the game by saying how he’s opening up millions of acres for exploration. It’s amazing how he can look at the camera and lie to your face.
He said no to the Keystone pipeline. His buddies in the EPA are putting the kibosh on the natural gas drilling in Ohio and Pennsylvania and drilling in gulf. Yet he stands they’re saying how we have to lose our dependency on foreign oil. Our great neighbor to the north is saying, “Here, we can help with that. Take our oil.” And he says no.
The United States has hundreds of years in gas and oil reserves, yet he is doing everything he can to stifle energy independence. He’s ordered the Navy to switch to using bio fuels. In a time when they’re cutting the military budget he orders the Navy to use a fuel that’s nine times more expensive than regular jet fuel.
Gas prices are already twice what they were when he took office, and they promise they are going higher. Welcome to Obama’s world, where he will tell you what to drive and how far. Every day I hope to wake up to discover that what’s happening to this country is only a dream. It saddens me to realize it’s reality.
