Village releases minutes from Feb. 16 board meeting

On Feb. 20, Lombard Village President William J. Mueller and Village Clerk Brigitte O'Brien released the Lombard Village Board of Trustee's Action of Feb. 16 board meeting.

• Proclamation was read by the Village Clerk naming February 28 through March 6 as “Severe Weather Awareness Week.”

• Approved Accounts Payable and Village Payroll.

Ordinances Approved With the Waiver of First Reading as Requested

• Ordinance bringing Village Code into compliance with State legislation as it relates to the seizure and impoundment of motor vehicles.

• Approving a First Amendment to the Business District Redevelopment Agreement between the Village of Lombard and Yorktown Holdings, LLC and Highland Yorktown, LLC.

Other Ordinances on First Reading

• Recommendation from the Transportation and Safety Committee to implement “No Parking” on the east side, between 901-905 Ridge Avenue.

Ordinances Approved on Second Reading

• Recommendation from the Transportation and Safety Committee to implement “No Parking” on the west side of Main Drive.

• PC 12-03 requests a conditional use to allow for Food and Manufacturing, Packaging and Processing for Flesk Brewing Co. LLC at 844 N. Ridge Ave.

• PC 12-04 Text Amendment to the Lombard Zoning Ordinance allowing “Secondhand stores and rummage shops with a minimum floor area of 5,000 sq. ft.” to be listed as a conditional use within the Roosevelt Rd. Corridor Business District.

• Declared two John Deere general purpose loader buckets as surplus and authorized their trade-in.

Resolutions Approved

• Accepting public water main and fire hydrant improvements at various locations along the Yorktown Mall Drive at the Yorktown Center.

• Approved a Resolution to sign an Intergovernmental Agreement with the National Illinois Police Alarm System in preparation for any potential impacts of activities related to the upcoming NATO/G8 Summits planned for Chicago in May.

• Approved an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Lombard Historical Commission, the Lombard Historical Society and the Village of Lombard relative to the construction of an addition to the Carriage House located behind the museum located at 23 W. Maple.

• Approved a recommendation of the Economic and Community Development Committee for a Grant not to exceed $20,000 for the proposed business known as Shannon's Deli at 11 S. Park Ave.

Other Matters

Approved the following:

• Authorized purchase of materials for the purchase for Lift Station Improvements, Phase 2.

• Authorized the signature of the Village President to Metra initiating an outreach effort to explore funding opportunities for future additional parking within the Downtown area.

Village Board meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of the month at 7:30 p.m. in the Village Hall Board Room at 255 E. Wilson Ave.
