Test your trivia knowledge at literacy fundraiser

Registration has begun for the 15th annual Trivia Bee fundraiser to support local literacy.

The Literacy Connection will hold the fundraiser from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, April 14, in the Fox River Room at Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin. All trivia buffs are encouraged to set aside part of the day to compete or to watch this exciting and fun competition.

The contest raises money for The Literacy Connection’s programs and tests the capacity of participants to remember a variety of facts from a variety of categories. The event will include a raffle and a silent auction as well.

General admission to the Trivia Bee is $5 per person and includes refreshments. Team members will receive one free admission ticket to share with family and friends as part of their $400 registration fee. Potential teams, sponsors and prize donors are encouraged to learn more by emailing The Literacy Connection at info@elginliteracy.org or calling (847) 742-6565.

The Literacy Connection, an affiliate of ProLiteracy America Inc., and serves adults and young children in 16 communities in the Elgin area: Algonquin, Bartlett, Carpentersville, Cary, Elgin, South Elgin, East Dundee, West Dundee, Gilberts, Hanover Park, Hampshire, Hoffman Estates, Huntley, Lake in the Hills, Streamwood, and Schaumburg. Programs include English as a Second Language, Basic Reading, Workplace Literacy, Summer Youth Tutoring programs.
