Palatine Jaycees to hold info night
The Palatine Jaycees invite the public to its Information Night, 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 at Caribou Coffee, 575 E. Dundee Road, Palatine to discuss with prospective members the benefits of joining.
“We keep our information nights informal so that people can get to know a number of the members and learn a bit about the organization without feeling pressured to join,” said Chrissy Trilling-Raices, board chairwoman. “There will be a dozen or so members at the meeting, we’ll have some coffee and just sit around and talk. With upcoming events like the Easter Egg Hunt, scholarship judging and of course, Hometown Fest, there are lots of ways to get involved and help the community.”
Raices said anyone unable to come to the information night can come instead to the March 15 monthly meeting, 7:30 p.m. at the Palatine American Legion Hall, 122 W. Palatine Road. Call Raices at (847) 604-0288.
The Palatine Jaycees provide development opportunities that empower people between 21 and 40 to create positive change. The Palatine Jaycees have provided community-based events and funding to Palatine organizations for more than 50 years.
The Palatine chapter holds its monthly general meeting on the third Thursday of the month, at 7:30 p.m. at the American Legion Hall.
