Rosemont hosts job fair this weekend

Rosemont will host a job fair Sunday, Feb. 19 through Tuesday, Feb. 21, to help fill 250 full-time and part-time positions that will be available at venues opening this spring in the The Park at Rosemont entertainment district.

The Park at Rosemont development, under construction west of River Road between Bryn Mawr and Balmoral avenues off the Tri-State Tollway, includes Adobe Gila’s, Five Roses Pub, Kings Lanes & Lounge, Zanies Comedy Night Club, and Margarita Fajita Cantina.

The job fair will be held at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, 5555 N. River Road, First Floor Ballroom. Fair hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, noon to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, and 2 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21.

“The Park at Rosemont will not only provide visitors a great opportunity to relax and enjoy a great meal, it will, when completely open, provide more than more than 500 good jobs to residents in the greater Chicago area,” Rosemont Mayor Bradley Stephens said in a news release. “We look forward to hosting subsequent job fairs to staff up the Hofbrauhaus Chicago, Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill, Taverna Opa and the Park Tavern, all of which will be fully operational by midsummer.”

Available positions being filled include: venue managers; servers, bartenders and hosts; cooks and kitchen support staff; and security and door personnel. Zanies also will be hiring box office staff. Experience requirements vary by position.

Job applicants will receive parking validation. Public parking garages are available across from the convention center. Mass transit-users can reach the center via the Metra Commuter Rail (Rosemont Station), CTA Blue Line (Rosemont Station) or 19 nearby bus routes.
