Ind. man’s body found in bed of repossessed truck
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — Southwestern Indiana authorities are investigating the discovery of an Evansville man’s body in the bed of his repossessed pickup truck.
The Evansville Courier & Press reports that an autopsy was scheduled for Friday on the body of 38-year-old Richard A. Fulkerson II.
Evansville Police Sgt. Jason Cullum said officers were called Thursday afternoon to the Sterling United Federal Credit Union after employees there opened the truck’s hard-shell cover and found Fulkerson’s body.
The truck had been in the credit union’s parking lot since being towed there Feb. 3.
Police had been seeking Fulkerson in connection with a Jan. 10 attack on an Evansville woman who said Fulkerson stabbed her. Court documents say Fulkerson fled the scene after the woman suffered stab wounds to her neck and upper torso.
