Hampshire semi crash slows traffic

Hampshire police are on the scene of a crash at the intersection of Rt. 20 and the tollway entrance ramp involving a semi and a truck carrying a load of trailers.

The accident occurred just after 9 this morning, and has traffic moving slowly through the area.

Traffic is still moving through the intersection, but a tangled mess of vehicles will likely have the area congested for several hours. Hampshire police and fire officials are still working the scene.

Eastbound traffic on Rt. 20 is being diverted onto Getty Road, while westbound traffic in getting through the intersection with the tollway ramp.

Vehicles exiting the tollway are being forced to go east on Rt. 20 due to the crash. No vehicles are being allowed to enter the tollway from the Rt.

20 interchange.
