MainStreet Libertyville wine tasting event Feb. 18
Participating shops and restaurants in downtown Libertyville host their sixth annual “Let’s Wine About Winter” wine tasting event Saturday, Feb. 18.
Spend a wintry afternoon browsing the stores and admiring the talents of local artists. A $15 commemorative wineglass will be your “ticket” to this event, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m.
The wineglass can be purchased at any one of five convenient distribution sites that day: North Shore Pro Active Health, 112 W. Lake St.; Curtis Frame/Back Alley Gallery, 543 N. Milwaukee Ave.; former Arden’s Furniture Store, 400 N. Milwaukee Ave.; Parkview Gourmet, 121 E. Cook St.; and Christine Anne Couture, 324 N. Milwaukee Ave.
Glasses will only be sold at the distribution sites. No advance reservations are required.
A map listing the participants will be available at the stores, restaurants and distribution sites. Participating stores and restaurants will display a pink sign in their windows.
“This has always been one of our premier downtown events,” said Pam Hume, executive director for MainStreet Libertyville. “Last year we sold over 1,200 glasses. Its popularity keeps rising.”
Bob Naughtrip, owner of Soccer Plus, added, “‘Let’s Wine about Winter’ is a high energy event that unites the community and brings new customers to downtown Libertyville. The event is loads of fun for the participants and the businesses.”
Free parking is available at the covered parking garage on Lake Street. The Metra station is in the heart of the downtown, a short walk to participating stores and restaurants.
